god, how cliche
i stepped on a rusty nail. i decided that having the bug zapper on my front porch was tacky, so i decided to hang it out back. there was a place to hang it, but it was really high up and i didn't have a ladder, so i just parked my civic under it and stood on the hood. i hung it successfully, and as i was stepping down off the hood of the car down to the ground, i found part of the wooden spoiler that sort of rotted and fell off of the civic's trunk 6+ months ago. well, more like it found me, i guess. pulled it out of my shoe, hoped it hadn't pierced the skin, finished unloading the car, went inside and sure enough it had. so i called the hospital to find out how soon you have to get the tetanus shot - can i do it tomorrow morning after class? and they gave me the number of some nurse hotline. so i called that and the lady came on and started asking me questions like name and address and phone number and date of birth and how did i hear about them? just as i was about to say "do you mind if i ask you my question first?" she finally transferred me to a nurse and she told me if i haven't had a tetanus shot in 5 years then get one within 24 hours. good, my question is answered, i don't have to go immediately, so good night,.
