i think perhaps americans are like cows.
no, no, hear me out.
you see, i like cows. i have dozens of cow stuffed animals, hell, i have a cow-spotted car. but real cows are not really that cute. they have tiny legs and smell bad. so it's not cows themselves that i like, but rather the concept of cows. i like cartoon cows, and the cow spotted pattern, but real cows themselves... not particularly fond of. were a cow to get on the subway with me, i might find myself scooching a bit away from one.
